About AC

I answer to many names and wear too many hats.

Alexandra Corinth is a 22-year-old author and blogger who currently possesses exactly one half of a Master's degree in English. After much emotional turmoil, she decided to postpone continuing her studies in the spring of 2012. Instead, she plans to trust her heart, follow her dreams - all that silly cheesy stuff - and pursue her ultimate dreams - being a published author of YA, middle grade, and children's literature.

Her undergraduate research project focused on gender roles in children's animated films, comparing the portrayal of males, females, and their interactions in Disney's The Little Mermaid (1989) and Hayao Miyazaki's Kiki's Delivery Service (1989). She enjoys watching anime, films from the French New Wave, and neo-noir science fiction thrillers. She reads mostly YA/middle grade, particularly fantasy, science fiction, and dystopia, but also consumes adult memoir and the occasional work of realistic fiction. While she is married to novel-writing, she has been engaging in an affair with fitness since May 2010. Finally, she is currently trying to plan her wedding (in the brief, scattered moments of freedom she can find).
